COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS #3 – Christmas Hairstyles!

Below are FIVE different ways, ranging from simple to over-the-top, that you can wear your hair this Christmas!Look #1 – The French Twist

This has always been one of my personal favorite hairstyles, and is one of the prettiest updos a girl can wear.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Slick back hair with gel. You can part your hair on the side for a fabulous, trendy look, or gel all of it back.

2. Pull hair down at nape of neck & twist it. If your hair is super-silky, you might want help with a ‘hair rat’ (it works well). You can purchase these at any beauty supply store. Hair rats were used widely in the 30’s and 40’s to aid women with upsweeps and French twists.

3. Pin the twist into place. You will want to make sure you use enough pins.

4. Spray your French twist with hairspray.

Look #2 – Sleek and Classic — The Classy Christmas Updo

I, personally, haven’t ever worn my hair like this before, but I think this is an awesome, Christmas hairstyle for you all to try.

Here’s how to do it:

Even if your hair is straight, you should flat iron it and spray on sheen to get an absolute, sleek look. This particular style is modeled by actress, Penelope Cruz. The secret to this look is large curlers and hairpins. Once the large curls are made, you’ll want to curl them and pin them into place, then spray. Don’t make the mistake of making your updo stiff and tacky with a heavy hairspray, instead, choose a sheen that is flexible and can withstand humidity. If you have a long face, you might to wear this style a bit further back on the head because it’ll make your face look even longer. You can get away with it piled directly on top of your head it you have a round, square, or oval face.

Look #3 – Pixie Cut

This hairstyle is so edgy and fierce, and ideal for going out Christmas night. This will definitely spice up your Christmas.

Look #4 – Fishtail Braid

The fishtail braid is such a fun, simple hairstyle to do, and it goes with almost any outfit. If you’re aiming to keep it simple this year, try this look.

Here’s how to do it:

Look #5 – Loose Curls

Not only is this hairdo as easy as they come, it’s also a very beautiful and popular style as well. I’ve worn my hair like this plenty of times, to countless occasions, and it’s always looked pretty.

Here’s how to do it:

Simply separate your hair into sections, and curl each section. When you’re done, run you fingers through your hair for about a minute or two, and ta-da! Beautiful loose curls!
